  We had a very good experience with Gipson Funeral Home. The director walked us through everything, was patient with our delays and really went above and beyond to ensure we were pleased. Thank you for helping us through a difficult time.

  Since they sold out it just isn't the same. We used them for a loved one and have wished we'd have gone with the other local funeral home. There were several major mistakes made. Example: Our loved one was due a full military honors funeral. The director told us it was "too late" to get it done. That turned out to be inaccurate as we were later told by someone 'in the know'- who is a professional military service person- that given the time frame we had there was plenty of time to arrange it. They made no effort to help the honorary pallbearers sit together, which was somewhat minor compared to the things we were mislead about. They gave us no choice on the casket, running our insurance budget over by more than a 1000.00 dollars. The funeral was prepaid, therefore, they went with what was picked and didn't honor the original price. They messed up the obituary in ways that caused hurt feelings. It was not the newspaper that made the mistakes. The list just goes on and on. If you choose to use them just be very careful that you double check each and every little thing and insist on getting what you pay for. Don't take their word that something can't be done. Check it out for yourself. Hopefully they improve with time.
